The AMS Photo Contest (formerly the AMS Weather Band Photo Contest) is back and open for submissions!
The 2026 American Meteorological Society Photo Contest is looking for standout images of weather, water, and climate, from subtle atmospheric moments to more dramatic scenes. Hosted on AMS Headlines, the contest welcomes photos from both amateurs and seasoned photographers.
Top entries will earn cash prizes of up to $500. All winners will receive a complimentary AMS Associate Membership and be featured across AMS platforms, including AMS Headlines. Check out all of the details and share using #AMSPhotoContest.
Submissions open today, 15 April, 2026, and close 30 June, 2026 at 5:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time. Winners will be announced in early fall 2026.
